Slip-resistance when it's called for
We can add a slip-resistant, non-skid additive to the sealer if barefoot grip matters for the way you use the deck. Tell Derek how the deck gets used on the inspection and he'll match the sealer to it.
Travertine vs. brick pavers
Travertine breathes, it needs a penetrating sealer that protects without sealing in moisture. Brick pavers can take a film-forming sealer for a richer wet look. We use the right product for the right surface. Same job, very different chemistry.
Salt-water and saltwater-system safe
Our sealers tolerate saltwater pool systems and routine chlorine exposure. We seal the surrounding tile lines, coping, and step edges where stains tend to start. The whole deck gets protected, not just the easy parts.

Common questions
- Can you seal travertine?
- Yes. We use breathable penetrating sealers specifically formulated for travertine, they protect against staining and weather without trapping moisture inside the stone.
- How soon can I use my pool after sealing?
- Same day for the water. We block the deck itself for foot traffic for 3–4 hours and for chairs/tables until the next morning.
- Will sealer keep my deck cooler?
- Lighter, natural-finish sealers reflect more heat than glossy wet-look. If summer barefoot temperatures matter, we'll steer you toward a heat-friendly finish.
