FAQs

Honest answers to the questions we hear most.

If you don't see your question here, call Derek directly, happy to walk through it.

How long does paver sealer last in Florida?

With proper prep and commercial-grade product, expect 2–3 years before a refresh. Pool decks and west-facing driveways lean toward 2 years. Shaded or covered surfaces can stretch beyond 3.

Do you handle the prep, or is that on me?

We handle every step, weed pre-treatment, deep cleaning, stain spot-treatment, and paver joint sand replacement before sealing. Just move what you can off the surface; we handle the rest.

How much does paver sealing cost?

It depends on square footage, condition, and finish (wet-look vs. natural). We give you a written quote on the free on-site inspection. No phone-quote guessing.

Can sealer be removed if I don't like the finish?

Yes, wet-look sealer can be stripped with the right products if you decide you want a more natural look later. We'd rather walk you through both finishes on day one and avoid the rework.

Will my pool deck be slippery after sealing?

We can put in a slip-resistant additive if it's called for, just let Derek know on the inspection and he'll match the sealer to how the deck actually gets used.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Both. Happy to share documentation on request.

Do I need to be home for the work?

No. Many clients are out of town when we seal. We just need access. We send progress updates and a finished walk-through video.

What if my pavers are in really bad shape?

We'll tell you honestly whether sealing is the right call or whether you need repair or replacement first. Sometimes pavers need to be reset, re-sanded, and then sealed in one combined project.

Will sealer prevent weeds?

Sealer can help prevent weed growth. Combined with fresh paver joint sand, it's one of the better tools you have against weeds, but no sealer makes weeds disappear forever.
