Why most paver sealing fails, and how we prevent it
Nine out of ten paver-sealing problems come from one place: rushed prep. If joint sand isn't stable, sealer cracks at every seam. If weeds and algae weren't pre-treated, they grow right through the new coat. Our process is built around the prep, not the spray.
The right product for Florida
Florida UV and humidity destroy big-box-store sealers. We only use commercial-grade sealers engineered for our climate, solvent-based for maximum durability, or water-based with UV inhibitors when a softer finish is preferred. We'll walk you through the choice on the free inspection.
Wet-look vs. natural-look
Wet-look gives your pavers that 'just washed' richness and a subtle gloss, it makes color pop and is the most popular choice for high-end driveways and pool decks. Natural-look keeps a matte finish while still locking in sand and protecting against stains. Both last roughly the same length of time.
How long it lasts
With our prep and our product, expect 2–3 years before you'd consider a refresh. Pool decks (constant water exposure) lean toward 2 years. Covered patios that don't see direct rain can stretch beyond 3.

Common questions
- How long after sealing before I can walk on it?
- Foot traffic: 3–4 hours. Furniture: next day. Vehicles: 24–48 hours depending on humidity. We'll give you a specific timeline before we leave.
- Will sealing change my paver color?
- Wet-look sealer darkens and enriches color noticeably, like the pavers look right after a rain. Natural-look keeps the existing tone. Either way, faded pavers come back to life.
- Do I have to be home?
- No. Many of our clients are out of town when we seal, we just need access. We send updates and a finished walk-through video if you'd like.
